Andressa began dating Tiago when she was fifteen years old. Within three months, they got married. Arthur Urach Costa (born May 19, 2005) was the sole child of the couple. Due to marital discord and divorce, they separated in 2008, after more than six years as a couple. Andressa then moved to the home of her mother and her child. After six months the mother decided to let go of her son and move towards Sao Paulo in search of the best prospects for the future. In her memoir Morri Para Viver Andressa Urach says she endured sexual abuse all through her life, a victim of the abuse her foster grandfather suffered that occurred from two years old until eight. Andressa said that prior to when she underwent a spiritual transformation, it was difficult to let go of her abuser. It was one of the toughest decisions I've ever made. I contacted the man who had was sexually assaulting me. It wasn't an easy decision. I pleaded with the person on the other end following a lot of praying and fasting, that I had forgiven the man. Although I am completely innocent of any crime, I pleaded for forgiveness. It was an easy request. I didn't justify my actions.
