Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thailand fighter in the flyweight division. She is the younger sister of the former UFC Flyweight champion and fellow UFC competitor Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko began her career as an Muay Thai boxer. Her debut was in 2003, at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was the winner of the event and beat Suzane Milliner in a unanimous vote. Antonina was able to continue her professional career after taking home bronze and silver medal in 2008 and 2007 respectively, and a gold medal in the year 2011, and the 2015 IFMA amateur world champion. Antonia was first introduced to the professional world in 2003. She won at the world championships for light Welterweight at WKC in 2012, The Lion Fight Lightweight Championships 2016 and both the WMC World Championships and Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina's final fight took place at Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. The fight was won by a unanimous vote. Antonina Schevchenko broke her professional MMA records in 2002, when she faced Anara Bazanova during the KFK Championship of Kyrgystan. She was victorious by TKO at the end of round two and her two subsequent matches were held in WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko was forced to take a break in order to focus on kickboxing. Shevchenko returned against Anissahaddaoui at Phoenix FC 3. Shevchenko had the chance to beat Anissa by a majority vote and defeated Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in the year 2017. The promotion ended in 2018 to join Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina made use of her formidable fighting skills and striking skills to TKO Nievera in the clinch by knees on the body. Antonina Shevchenko received a UFC contract after the victory. Antonina was able to make her UFC debut at the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, with Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko took victory in a unanimous decision, but fell in the second round to Roxanne Modafferi on a split decision. Antonina rebounded from her loss to knock out Lucie Pudilova via rear-naked choking submission during the second round of UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned the extra fight of the night in this fight. Shevchenko was defeated by Katlyn and Andrea Lee in three of her subsequent fights. She won over Ariane Lipski but she was also defeated by Ariane. Antonina was recently knocked out by Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
